In the past three weeks of being in population we have worked on making an art piece. We had to pick an organism that we wanted to study. I chose a red panda because they were just so cute and they are a combination of two different species which are giant pandas and raccoons. We went to the Lincon Park Zoo for our FE to study are animals and to understand them more deeply. When went to go see the red pandas they were just hanging on trees napping, so i was not able to record them very well. I was able to see how they interacted from Youtube videos. Then we had to fill out our taxonomy for our organism and then draw it and take a picture.
This image is a picture of a red panda which scientific name is Ailurus fulgens. These little guys are one of the smallest carnivores but even though they are carnivores they eat little to no meat they mostly eat bamboo and other things like that. These creatures are native to Nepal and northern Myanmar, but they can also be found in central china. They like to live in more of a forest habitat. They get that from their siblings the giant panda.They live in the mountains in Nepal. Red panda female give birth in the spring and summer time. They can give birth in 90 or as long as 158 days.
