Hair Discrimination in The Workplace!

Hello and welcome my last Action Project for our class called Equality, In this class I have learned a lot about what it means to have equality and how it differs from equity. We have learned about all types of injustices including race, gender, age, class and much more. In this time we have also read many articles and stories describing these acts. For our AP we have been tasked with creating an article of a civil rights issue that we think would still be an issue 100 years later. We has to include an OP-ed and government documentation of everything. I had recently been hearing about how black people were being fired from their jobs because of their hair or not even being able to get a job because their natural is deemed unprofessional in the workplace. As soon as I saw this I thought it would be a perfect civil rights issue to write about, thank you and I hope you enjoy. Newsletter
